Ms Ekaterina Sergeieva, President of the Istoki Festival in Moscow, thanks Maestro Andrei Chevtchouk for his participation as a member of the jury at the 8th Istoki International Russian Culture Festival and Competition.

Mr Alexei Mechkov, Russian Ambassador to France, and Mr Georgi Chepelev, Director of the Coordination Council of the Forum of Russians in France, thank Maestro Andrei Chevtchouk for organising the second Russian Choral Assembly in Paris (20–21 October 2018), as well as for his commitment to protecting and promoting Russian culture in France.

Mr. Alexandre Tokovinin, Russian Ambassador to Belgium, thanks Maestro Andrei Chevtchouk and his Crescendo choir from Amiens for their active involvement in the International Rendez-vous avec la Russie festival held every year in Elisabeth Park in Brussels.

LThe Krasnoyarsk National Opera and Ballet Theatre thanks Maestro Andrei Shevchuk for his contribution to the development of opera in Krasnoyarsk as part of the ninth international festival ‘Parade of Stars at the Opera’.

Following his participation since October 2016 as a member of the jury representing France at the ‘Istoki’ international Russian culture festival and competition, Maestro Andrei Chevtchouk was awarded two distinctions.

Mr Alexey Mechkov, Russian Ambassador to France, thanks Maestro Andrei Chevtchouk for organising the first Russian choral assembly at the Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Centre in Paris on 17 and 18 November 2017.

Conductor Andrei Chevtchouk [...] skilfully demonstrated the fascination that Mozart's music and personality exerted on Russian artistic life. It was clear that the speaker, a native of this great country, had an intimate knowledge of all the authors mentioned, and he distilled the essence of this knowledge for us with his infectious warmth and artistic enthusiasm [...].

What a joy to hear 18 musicians of such high calibre! The Lyon-based instrumentalists are truly outstanding, including a superb pianist and a remarkable percussionist, all conducted with verve and enthusiasm by Andrei Chevtchouk, who, abandoning his baton at the end, comes on stage to demonstrate his talents as a dancer!

Once again, on behalf of our members who attended the conference on 25 June, and on my own behalf, we would like to thank you for your choice of topic and the quality of your presentation, which inspired us and gave us an appreciation of the excellent musical talent of Russian composers.

On behalf of our association and our members, I would like to thank you in particular for the excellent quality of your lecture ‘Mozart and Russian musical culture’ held in Geneva on 24 April 2014, which broadened our horizons considerably with regard to the potential of Russian classical music and made us want to discover it.

La distribution des petits rôles était excellente. Les choeurs et l'orchestre remarquables de précision. Il y a, à mon sens, une bonne raison à ce magnifique résultat : elle se nomme Andrei Chevtchouk !
