Maestro Andrei Shevchuk will give a lecture-concert on Saint Petersburg at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Paris on the occasion of the 320th anniversary of the beautiful “northern capital”.

To illustrate the history of Saint Petersburg at the intersection of the musical destinies of the 19th century, the Maestro will accompany soprano Laeticia Goepfer and tenor Siegfried Bernard, professor of singing at the Alexandre Scriabin Conservatory.

They will perform works by Mozart, Verdi, Bizet, Borodin, Rachmaninov and Messager. The artists will close the evening with the creation of the Hymn to Saint Petersburg composed by the Maestro in honor of the city where he grew up and studied.
