The first edition of the sacred music festival “Heritage, Voices, Music” of the Avre Luce Noye community of communes in the Somme will take place from May 5 to 28, 2023 with a rich and varied program.
Maestro Andrei Chevtchouk, founder and director of this event, will open the season on Friday May 5 at 8 p.m. at the Val de Noye Music Center with a musical conference on the history of sacred music in Europe.
On Sunday, May 7 at 4 p.m., the Saint-Léger Church in Le Quesnel will host a vocal concert with sacred works by Bach, Handel, Stradella, Caccini, Vivaldi, Schubert, Delibes, Verdi, Franck, Rossini, Mascagni...
The festival will continue at the church of Berny-sur-Noye on Friday May 12 at 7:30 p.m. with the Stabat Mater of Pergolese.
On Sunday May 21 at 3:30 p.m., a major choral concert will take place at the Saint-Aignan church in Grivesnes, with extracts from the Requiems of Du Caurroy, Von Suppé, Cherubini, Verdi, Bruckner, Mozart, Saint-Saëns, Fauré. The public will also have the joy of discovering two excerpts from the Slave Requiem composed very recently by Andrei Chevtchouk: Requiem aeternam and Miserere, performed for the first time in public.
On May 27 and 28, Natacha Raykher, choir director at the Asnière sur Seine Conservatory, and Andrei Chevtchouk will lead a choral singing course. In this context, Andrei Chevtchouk will give a conference on sacred music in France in the 19th century on Saturday May 27 at 8 p.m. at the “LA SI SOL” music center in Moreuil.
The festival will end at the Folleville church with the end-of-course concert during which works by Palestrina, Vivaldi, Purcell, Pergolèse, Arensky, Mascheroni, Cherubini, Mozart, Gounod, Vivaldi... will be performed.

Throughout the festival, the architectural heritage will be highlighted with a guided tour of the churches by local associations 30 minutes before each concert.
